User Pictures

Here are some user pictures to see different ways Chiip has been implemented. These prove you are limited only by what parts you have on hand and your inventiveness. Enjoy!

bas shares his very professionally done combo programmer / dongle. Bas got fancy on us and used a resistor network on the parallel side. He reports that he is currently working on designing a PCB for the Chiip.

lebrand went for the "ugly as sin" but "cheap and works!" solution:

fiver did the external serial port version, and built his programmer pretty much the same way Cadex did:

Perplexer shows us a very clean, professional looking programmer he built with stuff laying around the house:

zdragon Accidentally came home with the wrong parallel port. Undaunted, he shows us that by using a gender changer he can still get the job done:

sascha writes in to show us a Chiip waiting for a home: Image:sascha.jpg

imsomebody takes the pure minimalist approach, and also explores the nature of art versus utility:

anitabill mistakenly ordered the wrong parts from DigiKey. Refusing to spend the weekend without a modded Wii, shows us what can be done with an old PS1 GameShark:

biff shows off some photoshop skills with a great combo programmer / external port hack

chrisi writes in from the land down under to show another variation of the external serial port

nathan was having problems getting reliable voltage from the parallel port so pulls +5V from a USB line.

raul asks everyone to "Just Check the Beauty" of his external Chiip socket:

I've you've done something exciting with the Chiip project and would like to share pictures you can email them to fiver5@gmail.com. Include the word "Chiip" in the subject line.

Also note that fiver5@gmail.com is *not* the email for Cadex. Fiver is helping out with the Wiki and however else he can. Cadex is the creator and lead of the Chiip project and is chiip(AT)trashmail(DOT)net.
