Make Triwing
From Chiip-Wiki
A brief description of how I made my triwing. Alas, I didn't think to take pictures along the way, but my camera probably wouldn't have been up for the job anyway.
So, get yourself a small, cheap philips screwdriver (cheap bits may be the BEST option, hands down- a quality screwdriver will probably be made of better metal, and thus harder to file/dremel/grind/cut/shape) and a tool to reshape the tip. I used a file and a dremel tool.
This is the philips bit, from above (or below)
First, grind down the ends of the wings on 3 sides, take off their corners, and completely remove the last wing. Take off more of the top and bottom wing than the left wing; you'll be relying on that wing to transfer most of the force. Also, make a bit of a groove on the side we cut off to prevent the angled corners inside the screw head from blocking the bit.
shave off a bit of the leading corners on the top and bottom wing to adhere a little better to the triangular shape
this is the regular philips
once we're done with it (the grey areas are the parts that should be new metal- we've been taking stuff off there. sorry it's such a messy doodle!)
Also, I had a lot of trouble with the bit popping out. I eventually fixed that by making the bit even smaller and pointier, to get it all the way down in the screwhead.
